SAD NEWS: Earlville community mourns teen killed in Route 251 crash

An Earlville teen was killed in a crash at Route 251 and Chicago Roadway in Lee Region, west of Paw Paw, on Monday.

The Lee Region Sheriff’s Workplace determined her as 16-year-old Chasity J. Stavenhagen. Authorities state a pickup owned by Stavenhagen took out in front of a semi-truck bring grain and was strike broadside. A 20-year-old West Brooklyn guy in the pick-up was required to the medical facility in crucial problem. The 62-year-old chauffeur of the semi, from Sublette, had not been harm. Authorities have not revealed any type of citations.

A message from the Earlville Institution Area states it’s grieving the loss of Stavenhagen, that was a junior, which dilemma therapy is offered for trainees.

An obituary states Chasity was included in band, track, and softball at Earlville High Institution as well as had rate of passions in video pc gaming and digital photography.
